Last week in Colorado

After 8 years in Colorado it has come down to my last week here.  This blog is going to be about my upcoming adventure teaching English in South Korea, and traveling around Asia as much as I can.
I've spent some of the best parts of my life here along with some of the most difficult.  I really feel fortunate to have had the opportunity to live here.  This past month has been a surreal experience as I quit my job and started planning for a year abroad.  Now I've been pretty fortunate in my past travels exploring most of Europe, along with South America, Central America, New Zealand, Australia and even a bit of Africa.  I am fairly certain none of the experiences will be comparable to this one coming up.
I have never traveled alone, nor have I traveled for this long, also my Korean is not up to standard... ok... my Korean is non-existent.

My plan:
On July 29th I fly out of Denver to live with some of my good friends in Hawaii.  I will spend my last couple weeks in the U.S. completing my online training for Korea and hopefully getting a nice tan.
On August 17th I fly out of Hilo to Incheon, S. Korea where I will begin my onsite training for EPIK.  I will be in Incheon for two weeks until they send me off to the mountains of Chungbuk, where I will live and work for the next year.

I may not be the best planner or the most organized person in the world but this is my plan as it has been laid out for me.  As many of you will see my life and my plans don't usually go as they are supposed to, but then again who is to say this is the way things are supposed to go.  I hope you enjoy following my adventure and learn a thing or two about how "life" or "plans" don't go as planned but always seem to work out for the best.

I'm going to miss Colorado and all the phenomenal people I have met here.  I would also like to thank everyone for being amazing friends and amazing people overall.

Thank you Colorado!  I hope I treated you as well as you treated me.

Well...for the most part
